YOU WILL BE OKAY

Nostalgia was the calcium that kept us together; the breeder of puppy chow and chex mix, double peanut butter, for that was my favourite flavour. It was the little roaches– both living and dead– that drew Sun on canvases. Top right, just like when we were 8 and mad at our parents for not teaching us how to spell "Thank You" because evidently, there was a "K" consonance in the latter word. The cheap white wine that we took shots with, and the Malibu which was savoured for draggy, stifling days.

Strange, because affection doesn't come in mono-saturation. Vision will professedly reflect kaleidoscopic hues: red for love, yellow for joy, blue for melancholy, purple for frustration, green for jealousy, white for blessing, and black for emptiness when you feel nothing at all.
